Good Morning

Woke up at 4:30am

Out of the house at 5:30am

At the office at 6:00am

On the road at 6:10am

Sun rise at 6:45am

In Wheatland at 7:16

Finally, rolled into Casper at 8:30am 

Chillin in the Main office until time for work.

Think Pink

So, when I saw these at the store the first thing that came to mind was

'Think Pink' 

Ya, that phrase is from the movie Grease 2. 

The Pink Ladies.

Anyhow, I thought they were kinda cute.

When my son found out that Pat was coming for dinner today he was pretty excited. 

'It'll be a Pat & Cody Day'. 

So today when Pat arrived Cody showed him how to play

'Lego Star Wars' on the WII.

Did he get it? I think so.

A Good Man

I heard this on the radio this morning and I thought I would share it...

Harry S Truman was president from 1945 to 1953; this would make him the 33rd Democratic President of the United States. Yes, I did say Democrat. What made him a great man? He did not want to be on any corporate payroll, believing that taking advantage of such financial opportunities would diminish the integrity of the nation's highest office. He also turned down numerous offers for commercial endorsements. His only income was his old army pension: $112.56 per month. 


If he was alive today how would he react how congress is acting with their income?

Before and After

This weekend has been a very fun and eventful weekend, especially for my 11 year old.  Saturday was a birthday party at the local ice and events center. Yes, she did venture on the ice. However, she still needed the security of the cones.  

Sunday, we spent the afternoon in Fort Collins.

After getting some Irish Nachos at Lucky Joe's 

the kid's up and skated at the rink in Old Town.

With help from big sister, 

the security of the cones and cans were GONE.

A Bushel and A Peck

Who ever thought that Doris Day's song would impact the saying, 'I love you a bushel and a peck'. 
I did a little research on what a bushel and a peck was and came up with: A US bushel is a measure of dry volume and equals approximately 35 litres, or 8 dry gallons. An Imperial bushel equals approximately 36 litres, or 8 Imperial gallons. A peck is also a measure of dry volume and equals 8 dry quarts in both the US and Imperial systems. There are 4 pecks in a bushel.

Kinda funny if you think about that way, 'I love you by 8 pounds and 8 quarters'. 

Really, I'm pretty sure the song means I love you more than anything.

Whatever

I've been hearing this word a lot lately from my teenage daughter; 'Whatever'.  

So, exactly what why is it being said. And in teenage terms what does whatever mean? Well, if I was just to interpret it, it's an easy way to ignore what is really being said and forget about it.

After doing some research on the term I found more than one definition: 

anything that ,  (used relatively to indicate a quantity of a specified or implied antecedent ,  no matter what ,  any or any one of a number of things whether specifically known or not ,  what (used interrogatively) ,  being what or who it may be ,  used to indicate indifference to a state of affairs, situation, previous statement, etc 

If I had to say it in other languages, well here it is...

Oh Boy

Expressions of speech is how a lot of people communicate these days.  One term often used quite a lot is 'Oh Boy'. What do they mean when they say this? Well, usually it is said to emphasize something good but also sometimes used to emphasize something negative. Make sense yet? It's easy to figure out I think. Instead of saying a phrase you are so use to like, 'Oh know' or 'Really' just replace it with 'Oh Boy!' It'll get contagious and before you know it...

'Ditto'

When you hear the word 'Ditto' what do you think it means? The dictionary term for Ditto is: Used in accounts and lists to indicate that an item is repeated (often indicated by ditto marks under the word or figure to be repeated).
This is according to Dictionary.com . When I hear it, I remember the quote from the movie Ghost; 
Sam: I love you Molly. I always have. 
Molly: Ditto. 
In reference to the movie Ditto means "the same as stated above or before." In this case: "I love you too." It's kind of simular to "likewise"

That's a lot.  An expression of gratitude.  No matter how it is said around the world I am very Thankful to everyone in my life and knowing 2012 will be a wonderful year.       謝謝, dank u, Danke, Merci, Thank You.
